Snow

One of the beautiful things about West Michigan is that we have real winters. It gets cold and it snows and the reality of the environment imposes itself whether you want it or not.

Yesterday I simply could not drive to work. The weather during the day had warmed up to 45 degrees, which then dropped to 10 with a ferocious wind and snow. The result was roads paved with sheet ice and it was too cold for salt to melt anything. I drove one mile and said "no" and turned back.

Today it warmed up to 20 and the snow started in again with a forecast of six inches or so. No problem. Feels good.
